The Crash by Freida McFadden
Genre: Psychological Thriller / Domestic Suspense
Standalone Novel

Trapped in a blizzard with a broken ankle and eight months pregnant, Tegan expects rescue when she’s taken in by a seemingly kind couple—until their isolated cabin turns into a nightmare. As snow piles up outside, Tegan realizes she's in grave danger, and protecting herself and her unborn child becomes a desperate fight for survival. Based on her experience as a physician, McFadden delivers a chilling, tightly wound thriller with medical realism and emotional depth.

If you liked:The Chain, Baby Teeth, or Behind Closed Doors, this suspenseful, page-turning story will grip you right until the explosive end.

A Twisty, Snowy Page-Turner Set in Maine

First of all—the cover! I genuinely thought I had spilled something on it… turns out it was snowflakes catching the light. Very cool design. 😆

This book gets bonus points for being set in Maine, which immediately had me hooked. I’m a big fan of stories told from multiple perspectives, and this one nailed it. As a reader, I found myself yelling at both main characters because they were so off—and that tension made the story even more gripping.

From the moment Tegan steps out of her car, you’re in for a ride. The twists and turns don’t let up, and they keep you guessing right up until the final page. If you love suspense, strong characters, and snowy small-town settings, this one’s for you.
