A Cozy, Feel-Good Read with a Sweet Surprise

There wasn’t a lot of build-up or tension between Hailey and Jay, but honestly, I didn’t mind. From the very beginning, you learn about Hailey’s past relationship and her upcoming Christmas plans, and within the first 10 pages, it’s clear where the story is headed. Normally, that kind of predictability would be a drawback for me—but not this time.

There was a small twist I didn’t see coming (though in hindsight, maybe I should have), and that surprise gave the story just enough sparkle to keep things interesting. This book made me want to escape to a quiet cabin in the woods and find my own Jay.

If you’re looking for a quick, heartwarming read with Hallmark vibes and just a touch of magic, this one’s a great pick-me-up.
